Fr. David Pagliarani, Superior General of the SSPX, remarked during his sermon at the illicit episcopal consecrations in Écône:
“Some might consider that we are faced with a dilemma. We choose the integral faith, but we are separating ourselves from the Church. We would be choosing between faith and the Church. In order to keep the faith, are we breaking with the Church?
That is a false dilemma.”[1]
No, it is the reality, as this writer has known since he learned to recognize heresy after confirmation in 1974. Subjection to the Catholic Church often requires subjection to heretics. We’ll see how long God permits the injustice to last.
